Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Within the framework of additional financing for modernization of the judicial system of Azerbaijan to be approved by the World Bank on 7 June a tender has been announced for contractors for supply of goods, civil works and consulting services.

The Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan reports that the WB will allocate $ 9.2 million of additional financing through the International Development Association (IDA) and $24.2 million through the International Bank for Reconstruction & Development (IBRD). The funds will be directed for 5 components: strengthening of management capacity of judicial institutions; modernization of court buildings and technologies; strengthening of professional level of judges and court clerks; raising of citizens’ awareness and work with appeals; project management.
