Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Milli Majlis Agrarian Policy Committee has held its first meeting within the autumn session.

The Parliament’s press service reports that the Committee recommends for consideration at the plenary session the bills on agricultural cooperation and on preservation and rational use of genetic resources of cultivated plants, as well as the amendments to the Law on Municipal Lands Management.

Committee’s chair Eldar Ibrahimov says that the amendments to the Law (Article 7.2) suggest a ban on the use and lease of municipal and common-in-use lands in private form of ownership. The municipal and common-in-use include land plots for streets, squares, local and utility roads, parks, forest parks, water reservoirs, stadiums, athletic fields, forest plantations, local waterworks, hydraulic engineering structures, local public facilities, grazing land, forest and water resources.
