Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Over the last 2 years 13 children aged within 12-17 have been adopted in Azerbaijan.

The report from Education Ministry of Azerbaijan says that Minister Misir Mardanov stated that at present preparatory work on 12 children’s transfer to families are underway. The cases are being tried in regional courts.

On the whole entering of 465 children to state children establishments has been prevented,  safety of 38 children leading street life was provided and they have been attracted to education through placement in state children establishments.

" This academic year 9.776 children are brought up in 44 state establishments, 3.750 of them stay their all day round and 6.026 spent their the whole day and study",- the report says citing the Minister.

In the last 2 years the number of children brought up in children homes have reduced almost twice down to 9.776. It was encouraged by creation of 4 daily guardianship and rehabilitation centers which allowed to avoid entrance of 298 children to children homes.
