OMV refuses to believe in collapse of pipeline project Nabucco
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s head Ilham Aliyev visiting Davos currently within his participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) held yesterday a series of bilateral meetings. The Presidential Administration press service reports that yesterday he met with Austrian company OMV AG executive director Gerhard Reuss. In the meeting the sides exchanged views on cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and OMV AG, including the prospects of gas pipeline project Nabucco. Earlier, new Azerbaijani-Turkish Trans-Anatolia Gas Pipeline (TANAP) initiated by SOCAR and BOTAS made wrong the whole concept of Nabucco, and the U.S. which earlier advanced actively the European project, stated officially that they were not sure of its viability in terms of attracting investment for the construction and natural gas for transportation.
