Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The State Migration Service of Azerbaijan has drafted the National Readmission Strategy.
The Service reports that the project was developed as part of improvement of national legislation in the field of migration and to protect the rights of Azerbaijanis living outside Azerbaijan.
The Migration Service has also drafted the Migration Code. Both documents were developed to meet international practice in this area and European Union legislation. The final versions of these documents are currently under consideration of the Cabinet Ministers of Azerbaijan.
The conclusion of the Readmission Agreement is a central condition for introduction of visa-free regime between the European Union and Azerbaijan, talks about which have been launched.
