Azerbaijan-Iran government commission endorsed
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. On February 8, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev ordered on approval of the new membership of the national part of the Azerbaijani-Iranian governmental commission on economic, trade & cultural cooperation.
Under the Order, the national part of the Commission was headed by foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov. It also includes deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov; first deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Azer Zeynalov; deputy ministers for transport Musa Panahov, for agriculture Bahram Aliyev, for culture & tourism Adalat Veliyev, for emergency situations Javanshir Akhundov; first deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev; head of the State Border Service Elchin Guliyev; chief of the State Maritime Administration (ARDDA) Gudrat Gurbanov; first vice president of State Oil Company (SOCAR) Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh; deputy chairman of the Central Bank Vadim Khubanov; head of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company Aydin Bashirov; chairman of CJSC Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) Arif Askerov; and president of Azerenerji Etibar Pirverdiyev.
The Commission is tasked to inform in due time the President of Azerbaijan about negotiations and holding of meetings with Iran. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is charged to notify the Foreign Ministry of Iran on the formation of the national composition of the Commission.
