Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani scientific computer network AzScienceNet has commissioned Eduroam service.
Information Technologies Institute ( ITI) of National Science Academy of Azerbaijan reports that the service should be organized in accord with TERENA’s recommendations (Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association).
National server Eduroam has been registered in European Eduroam Confederation and infrastructure of national Eduroam server is currently being created in NANA institutions and organizations.
The service provides opportunity of free connection to domestic infrastructure network of organizations connected to Eduroam services for employees of scientific and educational establishments in the countries where they are on business trip.
TERENA organization approved decision on provision of eduroam services in scientific and educational establishments’ networks in European countries in 2005.
