Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Undersecretariat for Defense Industries of Turkey has unveiled a five-year strategic plan.

The foreign media report that in accordance with the plan the Turkish defense industry will be included in Top 10 of the world for the next 5 years. By 2016, export of defense and aerospace industry is expected to reach $2 billion. To this end, Turkey is planning to establish liaison offices in the Middle and Near East, the United States, the region of the Caucasus - Central Asia and Europe.

Under the plan, the project of Turkish tank Altay will be completed by 2015. The first destroyer will be put into the Turkish army in 2016. Turkish armed forces will receive helicopter Atak and UAV Anka in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
