Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Economist Group with sponsorship of PASHA Bank held in Baku today an executive forum “Buttonwood Breakfast; Searching for growth: the business and economic outlook”.

Following the results of the event the Economist Conferences Head of Programmes, Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa, Dougal Thomson, said that the forum discussed the prospects for investors of not only Azerbaijan, but also of Europe, Turkey, U.S. and China.

"The main general conclusion of the conference participants was the view that the eurozone will remain in its present form, and Greece will solve all its problems within its framework. At the same time, the participants pointed to the possibility of appearance of problems in other countries of the eurozone - Portugal, Ireland, Italy and even France," Mr. Thomson said.

The economic prospects of the United States were given higher estimates.

"Currently the economic situation in the U.S. is better than in the euro area," Mr. Thomson emphasized.
