Since 12 April Azerbaijan started paying taxes through a system of mass payments
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan introduced a system of e-payment of taxes and state duties. In the lobby interview at the second annual conference of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Natig Shirinov, the head of the Taxes Ministry’s Individuals Registration Department, has said that use of e-payment of taxes and state duties was launched since 12 April. "This project, implemented jointly with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan within promotion of non-cash settlements. E-payment can be carried out through the website of the Ministry of Taxes (www.taxes.gov.az),” Shirinov said. In turn, the Central Bank said that “Portal of state (government) payments started operating on the platform of the centralized information system of current payments (KÖMİS). From 8 August through the integration of information system of the Main Traffic Police Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry in KÖMİS, it became possible payment of fines for traffic violations through the system. Now, through the "Portal of state (government) payments" it became available to pay taxes, fees, fines, rents and other payments to the state budget. KÖMİS has been already integrated information system of tax offices in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Absheron and Khachmaz. As a result, tax payments can be made through 40 banks and 1,200 post offices, as well as through KÖMİS official website (www.apus.az). "In the next stages the" Portal of the state (government) payments" will be integrated the information systems of the Internal Affairs Ministry, State Customs Committee, State Social Protection Fund and other governmental agencies," the CBA informs.
