Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Today following trading in the currency section of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) weighted average stock exchange price of the US dollar to Azerbaijani manat has sharply fallen .

BBVB reports that on 24 April 2012 following trading in BBVB currency section US dollar exchange rate fell from USD/AZN 0.786 at which it kept since 18 April up to USD/AZN 0.7854. Today the volume of trading has reached $12.03 million.

The historical low dollar rate (USD/AZN 0.7852) was achieved on 6 February 2012. Trading volume then was $1.158 million. This year started from quoted price of USD/AZN 0.7857 versus USD/AZN 0.7967 by early 2011.

The official exchange rate for 24 April 2012 was announced by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan at the level of AZN 0.7861 to the US dollar. The past year started from official exchange rate USD/AZN 0.7979 and 2012 from USD/AZN 0.7865.
