Baku, Fineko/abc.az. IMF Mission for Azerbaijan completing its work in Baku today, has raised the issue on correction of the country’s budget policy.
Today in Baku Head of IMF mission for Azerbaijan Nadeem Ilahi has reported that Azerbaijani government needs to correct its budget policy to decrease fiscal deficit on non-oil sector which still remains high.
" That is connected with termination in rise of hydrocarbon output volume in the country. The government will not be able to keep its expenses on current level in medium term ",- N. Ilahi said noting that the Fund is ready to provide expert assistance in correction of budget policy.
" We positively estimate the government’s intention to avoid any additional expenditure rise this year in connection with recent and forecasted future rise of world oil prices ",- N. Ilahi said.
