Baku, Fineko/abc.az. National Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan has neutralized people causing damage to Communication and Information Technologies Ministry of Azerbaijan.

Communication and Information Technologies Ministry reports that a group of Azerbaijani citizens not passing state registration and getting special permission for entrepreneur activity have connected to Azerfon mobile operator’s network through special devices to provide one-way communication services. The group created possibility for illegal use of international communication, through GSM channel schedulers and other technical equipment, installed in different flats in Baku, Sumgait and Khirdalan. The group members acquired 51 telephone numbers registered for different people’s names, introduced these numbers in special technical equipment , connected Internet and not passing registration in Communication and Information Technologies Ministry organized incoming international calls in the country’s telecommunication network. As a result the Ministry was caused damage for AZN 100.000.

The Defense Ministry also revealed similar crime committed by Chinese citizens in network of  Azerfon and Bakcell mobile operators. At that Chinese group operated in Nasimi and Khatai districts of Baku and in Ganja, for which it used 69 CSM numbers of Azerfon and Bakcell, and organized one way international communication with local operators.

In the course of the flats inspection , equipment was found, the cards used to pay for Azerfon and Bakcell’s services for AZN 8.500 and these operators’ unused cards for AZN 2.255.

In connection with revealed facts a criminal case was initiated in accord with clause 192.2.2 of Criminal Code of Azerbaijan ( getting income through illegal entrepreneurship activity). Operational- investigative actions are underway to fully investigate this criminal case.
