Azerbaijan announced prevention of terrorist attacks during Eurovision 2012
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan prevented a terrorist act, planned during Eurovision 2012 in Baku.
The MNS Center for Public Affairs reports that the Ministry’s staff neutralized a transnational armed gang which planned sabotage and terrorist acts at Eurovision 2012 in Baku.
The purpose of the gang was to commit provocative acts of terrorism within the individual groups during the period of Eurovision song contest in Baku, bombings and armed attacks for the mass destruction of people in hotels Hilton Baku and JW Marriott Hotel Absheron, on the State Flag Square, and committing large explosions in the Baku Crystal Hall, where the criminals tried to get by all means.
