Baku, Fineko/abc.az. On 18-20 June Baku will host the forum of Heads of National Standardization Bodies of East European and Central Asian countries under support of International Standardization Organization (ISO) and State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.

The State Committee reports that the main purpose of the forum is studying and assessment of compliance level with international standardization requirements in East European and Central Asian countries, adoption of measures on provision of mutual relations and role of national standardization bodies in creation and development of quality infrastructure",- the report says.

The forum is expected to involve participation of heads of national standardization and technical regulation bodies of Romania, Croatia, Belarus, Albania, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries. ISO General Secretary Rob Steele will also arrive in Baku to participate in the forum.

Azerbaijan has been ISO’s full member since 2003.
