Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Today the Parliament of Azerbaijan has introduced amendments to the law " On Industrial and Household Waste " and Administrative Violations Code which embed sanctions for wrong throwing of rubbish.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Legal policy and State Building Ali Huseynli has stated that penalties will be imposed for throwing and storage of waste beyond the places allocated for that.

"Chief purpose of the amendments is provision of the population’s cultural behavior ",- A. Huseynli said.

For throwing and storage of household waste beyond the places allocated for that the individuals will be fined for AZN 20, officials- for AZN 100, legal entities- for AZN 500. For ignoration of distances provided by the law when placing rubbish containers (boxes) in the cities and administrative centers ( except urban areas) the officials will be fined for AZN 500 and legal entities for AZN 1.000.

Another amendment to the Administrative Violation Code assumes increase of penalties in respect of pedestrians for crossing roadway and railway lines in the unforeseen places from AZN 10 to AZN 20.
