Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The managements of the national committee of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan-2012 and insurance company Paşa Sığorta hld a meeting at the AFFA headquarters last week.

The insurer reports that in the course of the meeting the representatives of the parties exchanged views on the status of cooperation between AFFA and Paşa Sığorta and consulted on the preparation of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Baku this September.

After the meeting AFFA general secretary and chairman of the World Cup National Organizing Committee of the Championship Elkhan Mammadov stated that AFFA-Paşa Sığorta cooperation, which has been ongoing for the past two years, makes a great contribution to the development of football in the country.

"On behalf of AFFA and the Azerbaijan 2012 National Organizing Committee of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup we are grateful to Paşa Sığorta for active support to football movement. Recently Paşa Sığorta became a national partner of the World Cup and will contribute to the organization of this tournament. This again shows that the authorized companies in Azerbaijan want to be closer to football, and it pleases both us and FIFA,” Mammadov said.

Paşa Sığorta chairman of board Nofal Rzayev expressed deep satisfaction with the level of cooperation with AFFA.

"For already two years we have partnered with AFFA and are very satisfied with this cooperation. Now Paşa Sığorta becomes a national partner of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012, and we take this fact as natural extension of two-year collaboration with AFFA. We believe that organization of this World Cup is important from angle of further development of football in our country and promotion of Azerbaijan and its achievements abroad. During the World Cup in Azerbaijan official representative delegations, famous soccer experts, famous artists will come from different countries and numerous events and concerts will be organized. I am sure that we will see a big football festival! As a partner of AFFA, Paşa Sığorta is proud of participation in FIFA U-17 World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 as the official national partner of FIFA,” Rzayev said.

At the end of the meeting chairman of the National Organizing Committee of FIFA U-17 World Cup Elkhan Mammadov handed over to Paşa Sığorta management a Partnership Certificate signed by the FIFA Secretary General Joseph Blatter. Along with Paşa Sığorta the list of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan-2012 official sponsors are SOCAR, Bakcell and Xalq Bank.
