Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank plans a minimum of operations in Azerbaijan in the new fiscal year (1 July 2012 – 1 July 2013).
Today in Baku following the results of his first visit to the country Bank’s new regional director for South Caucasus Henry Kerali has informed that in 2013 the WB plans to approve three projects for Azerbaijan – Second Rural Investment Project, new financing for the agricultural sector and additional funding for health sector reform.
"Azerbaijan Rural Investment Project (AzRIP) will be approved on 5 July," Kerali said.
A loan of $30 million will be provided through the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
The size of the loan for the new Agricultural Development Credit Project and Health Sector Reform Project (HSRP) has not yet been agreed upon. Previously, speech was about $50-100 million and $50 million, respectively.
