Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Yesterday President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan decreed on changes to State Program of socio-economic development of Baku and its suburbs for 2011-13 and approval of Additional Measures Plan connected with it.

Under the decree, the list of measures executors, connected with water cleaning and neighboring territory, park establishment and afforestation around Boyukshor and Hojasan lakes, also included Economic Development Ministry, OJSC Azersu ( national water operator), State Oil Company (SOCAR) and regional executive powers along with Ecology and Natural resources Ministry. Main measures here will be connected with termination of waste , technical and other water throwing in the lakes, improvement of ecologic state. The territories around the lakes should be cleaned from oil, irrigation system should  be created at rehabilitated lands and all the territory greened.

This decision is connected with the plans to create a network of sport and health Olympic sites around the lakes by 2030. At present most part of the territories near the lakes in SOCAR’s possession and development of oil fields has been carried out here for over 100 years.
