Judge of regional courts of appeal assigned in Azerbaijan
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani parliamentarians have made today a decision on appointment of judges in the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the appellate courts of Baku, Ganja, Sumgait, Shirvan and Sheki. "Regional courts of appeal were created within the framework of judicial and legal reform being realized in Azerbaijan. Judges for these courts were appointed on the basis of first test exams organized in 2007," said Ali Huseynli, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy & State Structure, during the discussion. According to Huseynli, regional courts of appeal in Azerbaijan started operating in 2010. Under the decision, Vugar Guliyev was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic; Nureddin Badalov, Togrul Aliyev, Ilgar Huseynov, Ismayil Khalilov, Raghib Gurbanov, Vidadi Mammadov, Nureddin Mustafayev, Elshan Veliyev and Jahangir Yusifov were appointed the judges of the Court of Appeal of Baku; Shamil Rzaguliyev was assigned the judge of the Appeals Court of Ganja. Vidadi Jafarov and Telman Guliyev were appointed the judges of the Court of Appeal of Sumgait; Shirvan Maharram Allahverdiyev, Etibar Jamalov, Tofig Heydarov and Nusrat Mirzoyev were assigned the judges of the Court of Appeal of Shirvan; Elchin Huseynov, Vidadi Gasimov and Humbat Salimov were appointed the judges of the Court of Appeal of Sheki.
