SOCAR oil export exceeds 12.6 million tons in 2012
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The SOCAR Marketing & Economic Operations Department has announced that Azeri oil export in June totaled 91.06% of its volume in May 2012. The Department reports that this June it was exported 1.864 million tons of oil, including 164,662 tons via Baku-Novorossiysk, 80.788 tons via Baku-Supsa and 1.618 million via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) n.a. Heydar Aliyev oil pipelines. In January oil export was 2.3 million tons – this year’s still the best indicator. “Over Jan-June 2012 it was exported 12.634 million tons of oil, including 985.405 tons via Baku-Novorossiysk, 1.2 million tons via Baku-Supsa and 10.352 million tons via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) n.a. Heydar Aliyev oil pipelines. In 2011, export reached 27.609 million tons, including 2.57 million tons in June (past year’s month peak). Last year oil transportation via pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk totaled 1.988 million tons, Baku-Novorossiysk 2.65 million tons, and BTC 22.969 million tons. For Jan-June 2012 oil was not exported via Baku-Batumi railway, as well as in 2009-2011.
