Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has spent AZN 14.785 million on training of the Olympic team to participate in the Summer Olympic Games.

Youth & Sports Minister Azad Rahimov says that work on training of the Azerbaijani Olympic combined team for participation in the Summer Olympic Games has been completed.

"The National Olympic Committee, the relevant sports federations and associations provided all necessary assistance in the preparation process, particularly in the accreditation and transport issues, providing medical supplies, sports and special clothing. Clothing of the Olympic team has been prepared by the owner of famous Italian fashion house Ermanno Scervino,” he said.

The minister added that the sports delegation of Azerbaijan will go to the Games in two groups - the first will go to London on 24 July and the second one on 4 August.

The ceremony of flag raising and welcoming the athletes of Azerbaijan in the Olympic Village will be held on 25 July, and on 28 July it will be conducted "The Day of Azerbaijan" - an event, preparation for which is also approaching to completion.
