Azerbaijan’s export catalogue to get Internet format in 2012
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s Marketing Society which yesterday presented the fourth Azerbaijan Export Catalogue (AEC) covering 2012, has announced soonest development of the project. The AMS Board Chairman Rahim Huseynov has reported that Azerbaijan Export Catalogue is transferred to electronic services format. " We have already made technical reequipping and AECs Internet version (www.marketing.az) is opening at the web-site of the Society since 2012. All potential and real exporters can register and place information about themselves on free basis in Azerbaijan Export Catalogue. That will make easier the process for exporter companies for inclusion in AEC 2013 to be released next year ",- R. Huseynov said. For the first time AEC 2012 has been made in 5 languages at once- traditional for catalogues English language, and Arabic, Spanish, German and Russian . At present AEC 2012 includes already 86 companies engaged in spheres, priority for development of the country’s non-oil economy sector, such as processing and food industry, services ( primarily, information-communication technologies) and tourism. This year cardinal step has been made as well for inclusion of AEC to national export promotion system. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will purchase 40% of the catalogue issues to distribute it through embassies and other diplomatic representative offices abroad. The MFA has long ago become the Marketing Society’s partner in AEC preparation and the Society takes into account the MFA’s recommendations, including expansion of AEC’s language base. General sponsors of AEC 2012 were Azersun Holding, Gazelli Group, Spark Beton. The issue was also supported by ASB Bank, ATEF and STP. AEC 2011 contained information on 70 companies involved in the food industry, construction, industrial sector, services, tourism, education, medicine. Support to it was given by Gilan Holding, Akkord, Titan Group, Caspian Pipe Coating, Gok-Nur Baki. The second catalogue covered the data for 2009-2010. It contained information about 50 organizations, representing food, light, oil refining industry, sphere of services (finance, consulting, and tourism) and information technologies. Compared with the first edition, sectoral character of the second catalogue was not subjected to serious changes. At that, organizational structure changed drastically. The publication of the first catalogue was given support by the UN and the Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), and the sponsor of the second catalogue is private Gilan Holding, and support was provided by the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, due to which the catalogue was spread. The first catalogue was released in 2008.
