Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Radical changes are to take place in construction market of Azerbaijan for the next few years.

Today at the opening of new cement plant OJSC Holcim Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan stated that in the next few years supply of domestic cement will exceed demand for it.

" Today cement production in the country is 3.3 million tons. New Holcim Azerbaijan plant can produce 1.7 million tons per year. At that cement plant with up to 1 million tons annual capacity has already been commissioned in Agstafa, plant with 0.3 million tons is expected to open in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and construction of another plant with 2 million tons annual capacity is underway in Garadagh district of Baku ",- President I. Aliyev noted.

After the reconstruction Holcim Azerbaijan plant raised capacity by 30%- from 1.3 million tons to 1.7 million tons for cement and from 0.86 million tons to 1.24 million tons for clinker.
