Number of water supply services consumers in Azerbaijan exceeded 1.1 million subscribers

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Only 48,1% of subscribers in Azerbaijan are provided with water utility meters.

The report from national water operator OJSC Azersu says that as of 1 July the number of the OJSC clients made 1.110.815 subscribers.

" 97% of the subscribers is population. In the second quarter the number of registered subscribers grew by 1,6% or 17.315 clients due to toughening of control measures, registration of illegal connections and new subscribers ",- the report says.

11.350 subscribers were provided with meters in the second quarter and total number of subscribers provided with meters has been brought to 534.385 clients which makes 48,1% of total subscriber base.
