Baku, Fineko/abc.az. State standard «HALAL» will be approved in Azerbaijan in the nearest future.

Head of Press Service of State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan Fazil Talibli has reported that the standard is presently under coordination.

" 3 new standards have been developed on the basis of single «HALAL» standard approved by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The standards are presently undergoing coordination after which they will be submitted to Head of the State Committee for approval ",- F. Talibli said.

In his words, the new standards assume – Standard of use of «HALAL» term, «HALAL» standard for meat and Standard for other food products, except meat.
