Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Elchin Ibadov has been appointed Director of Financial services group in PwC Azerbaijan.

PwC reports that at the new post E. Ibadov will be responsible for audit and consultation services projects in financial sector, including banks, leasing companies, as well as capital management companies.

E. Ibadov graduated from Azerbaijan State Economic University with Bachelor degree in international economic relations area. Later he got Economic Master degree in Illinois University in Chicago ( the USA) and became member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ( ACCA). E. Ibadov has recently defended doctor dissertation in financial economy area. He is the member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and member of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

E. Ibadov joined the PwC Azerbaijan in 2003 and since that time worked with a large number of consultation projects with wide range of companies operating in Azerbaijan. In addition to leading audit and consulting projects E. Ibadov also created and now runs a successful PwC Academy in Azerbaijan. The Academy provides professional training in a variety of disciplines, including accounting, management, risk management, internal control, general management and information technology to the specialists interested in rise of professional level.

On the director post E. Ibadov will be responsible for support of PwC Azerbaijan’s relations with Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Finance Ministry, State Committee for Property Affairs and other governing bodies of Azerbaijan.

PwC Azerbaijan Financial services group composes of 20 experts, specializing on provision of audit and consultation services in financial services area. This group of professional specialists brought in to life projects for a whole number of bank, insurance sector clients as well as capital management sector in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Mongolia, Japan and Germany.

On the whole, over 100 specialists work in PwC office in Baku.
