Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan has stated that transport costs in the country are growing.

The SSC informs that in July the tariffs for cargo transportation in the country grew by 0.5% and passenger carriages by 1%.

At that only a tariff (transportation of 10 tons per 1 km) for rail transportation of imported goods decreased by 3.3%. Rates for local carriages of goods by rail increased by 8.5%, transit transport by 1.8% and export transportation by 1.2%. Tariffs for international passenger transportation also soared by 8.5%.

Air transport, reducing tariffs for passenger carriages to CIS countries by 1.9%, increased them by 2.1% for transportation to other countries.

Pipeline transportation tariffs rose by 0.8%.
