CEIBC finishes survey on SOCAR within global research of national and trans-national companies
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. A joint session of the Board of Directors of Caspian Energy International Media Group and Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) has been held in Prague today. The CEIBC informs that the session held under the chairmanship of Telman Aliyev, President and CEO of CEIBC, assessed activity of CEIMG and CEIBC carried out in the 1st half of 2012, endorsed development program and confirmed plan of activities for the 2nd half of 2012 and 1st half of 2013. The session also discussed details of the global research carried out by the British company Caspian Energy International Media Group LLC for making a rating of state (national) and trans-national oil-gas companies. The first research will be dedicated to SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan). A proposal to study the activity of oil companies (BP, Total, ExxonMobil, Chevron, LUKoil, etc) operating in Azerbaijan was also offered at the session in order to determine their rating. According to the decision made by senior management of CEIBC, an additional research will be held from October 2012 until June 2013 for making a monthly rating and performing detailed-comparative analyzing of activity of all state companies of Azerbaijan with that of companies operating in the Caspian-Black Sea region. Such companies and organizations as Azerenergy OJSC, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), Caspian shipping company, Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC, State Company for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Azneftkimyamash OJSC, SOCAR Azerikimya PU will be put into the list of researched subjects. The research will apply two methods – sociological poll among population and expert poll among top-managers, managers and specialists as well as subscribers of Caspian Energy in 50 countries worldwide. The research envisages study of all positive and negative impacts of the activity of companies and organizations that are under survey, objective and subjective problems that their partners, contractors and sub-contractors, who cooperate with them within the framework of projects, face. All the results of researches will go first to the Administration of the President and Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan. The results will also be provided in two versions each month: exclusive and standard. Subscribers of the exclusive package will have an opportunity to include additional questions into the application form (both among population and experts) and get results of survey in exclusive manner.
