Baku, Fineko/abc.az. By Decision №180 the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has endorsed " Rules of free drug assistance provision at the expense of the state budget".

Under the rules, types of free drug assistance at the expense of the state include diagnostics, estimation of patient’s state using drug substances, control of the state and social psychological rehabilitation of the patient.

Drug assistance is provided to people in withdrawal syndrome state, suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction or toxicomania. Each patient getting drug aid should pass registration.

The process of drug aid service improvement and drug aid provision should be carried out at the expense of funds assumed in centralized state budget expenses on Health section. Health Ministry approves the list of medical establishments providing drug aid. These establishments provide free aid. The property withdrawn as a result of legal measures in respect of illegal import, export, transit and production of drug substances should be sent to state disposition to be further used in prevention purposes, treatment and social rehabilitation of drug addicted patients.
