Portfolio of Azerbaijan Microfinance Association on microloans totaled $393 million
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA) summed up activity in January to September, 2009. AMFA reports that on 1st October, portfolio of members of the association on microloans made up $393 million. “At the same time, over account period, the number of active members of the association on loaning exceeded 274,600 persons. On 1st September, 2009, total loan portfolio of members on microloans totaled $393.368 million and share of risky loans in portfolio made up 3.32% and paid loans over account period amounted to $16,364,” the association reports. At that, the Access Bank turned out to be the most active on delivery of microloans. The Access Bank’s portfolio totaled $141.029 million on microloans. On 1st September, total portfolio of AMFA amounted to $2.12 million. The report was drawn up on 31 organization-members of AMFA. In 2001, AMFA was established in order to strengthen potential possibilities of Azerbaijani microfinance organizations and creation of conditions of joint rational activity within the frames of interests of microfinance community.
