Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Bank VTB OJSC (Azerbaijan) is ready for retail business development in Azerbaijan.
Bank’s chairman of board Andrey Kostin has claimed that Bank VTB is a universal bank and they are planning to foster both corporate and retail business.
“That is why in the future we need to open additional offices in Azerbaijani regions, including in Baku. We are ready to do that as business develops. In our plans is already opening of branches in Sumgait and Ganja,” Kostin said.
VTB Group entered the Azerbaijani market at the end of 2009. Banking license was issued to VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan on 11 March 2009.
Currently joint stock capital of Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) is shared between Bank VTB (51% of shares), AtaHolding OJSC (48.99%) and an individual (0.01%).
