Baku, Fineko/abc.az. As the year 2010 was declared the “Year of Ecology” various actions are being taken by some state agencies and one of them is the painting competition-exhibition entitled “My Clean City” held by Tamiz Shahar JSC.

The Company says that the competition is conducted among school-aged children 6 to 13 and sets a goal to draw the children’s attention to cleanness of Baku city, formulating ecological culture of children from early ages, as well as developing their creative thinking has already been completed.

Acceptance of paintings for the contest was completed.

About 600 paintings have been submitted within the frame of the painting-competition on subjects such as cleanness of Baku city, prevention of environmental pollution, the people’s responsibility to protect the natural environment and so forth.

Jury consisting of the management of Tamiz Shahar JSC, ecologists, and cultural professionals was created for assessment of paintings.

According to the competition rules, all submitted paintings will be evaluated by the Jury and 100 best paintings have already been selected and placed in Tamiz Shakhar’s official website: www.tamizshahar.az.

In the 1st stage 3 winners will be determined by the internet users. In the 2nd stage the Jury will assess the paintings and select other 3 winners.

The competition winners will be awarded certificates, cups and other valuable gifts and the competition participants will receive a CD containing a complete set of the catalogue of paintings and certificates for participation.

An exhibition in Giz Galasi Arts Gallery will be organized following the competition.
