Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan has received today Asian Development Bank president Haruhiko Kuroda.
The Presidential Administration press service informs that in the meeting it was underlined that sound management with economy and oil revenues in Azerbaijan create opportunities for growth in the future.
The country’s leader pointed out that Azerbaijan despite global credit crunch is ready to continue development programs in non-oil sector.
“Mr. Kuroda is visiting Baku to participate in VII CAREC ministerial conference (November 21). This is his first visit to the capital of Azerbaijan.
By the present the Bank has financed $500 million to the country for road infrastructure upgrade and is ready to increase financing for energy sector upgrade from $160 million up to $500 million.
