Baku, Fineko/abc.az. International Research Group Business Insight (BI) has conducted a poll to research lifestyle of the population of Azerbaijani capital Baku that covered 660 respondents (women - 65% and men - 35%).

BI reports that 82% of the poll respondents replied “No” to question “Do you drink ardent spirits?”

“Of them only 18% of the respondents answered that they consume alcohol. Such difference can be linked with the fact that a larger part of the pollees were women (65%). Despite that after analysis of answers among the women and men it was established that strong drinks are consumed by 36 out 100 men and 9 out of 100 women,” BI said.

The poll also revealed an interesting fact that respondents living in the centre and not far from the centre of Baku drink more alcohol than those who reside in remote parts of the capital.

The Nasimi district residents consume more alcohol than inhabitants of other districts of Baku.
