Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani parliament is worried over delays with publication of national Encyclopedia.
MP Fazil Mustafa said in the parliament that Azerbaijan President decreed on edition of Encyclopedia as early as 2004.
“6 years passed and there is no progress in the issue as yet. As the result, we are compelled to use Soviet encyclopedia,” F. Mustafa said.
As early as 2007, Mahmud Karimov, President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Science said that that all materials were already sent to Germany and German Company would publish the encyclopedia.
“Contract with German company has been concluded and money have been transferred. The encyclopedia will be published this month or next month with (50 000 copies),” M. Karimov said then.
He expected that the encyclopedia would be published not later than October, 2007.
