SOCAR: Azerbaijan considers alternative Turkish variants for gas export to Europe
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is compelled to respond to absence of result of negotiations with Turkey on the terms of gas supplies and transit through this country. SOCAR Vice President Elshad Nasirov said that negotiations are held now, but many issues remain. “Under the circumstances, we also consider alternative Turkish variants of gas export to Europe, including through the Black Sea. Negotiations are held with Bulgaria and Romania,” E. Nasirov said. For the time being, Turkey refuse the before coordinated increase of price for Azerbaijani gas, which totals $120 per 1,000 cu m so far, that conforms to domestic price in Azerbaijan (AZN 100).
