Baku, Fineko/abc.az. On March 16, launching of the “Republican Olympiad on Informatics among university students”, dedicated to the World Day of Telecommunication and Information Society, was announced.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies informs that the first stage of the Olympiad will be held on April 10, the second phase will take place on May 8, 2010.
“The Olympiad will create opportunities for selection and training a team, which will represent Azerbaijan in the semifinals of international team competitions on informatics,” it was informed.
Olympics organizers are the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technologies.
