Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Thomas Mirow, the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) has conducted negotiations in Baku today.
Following his Baku visit Mr. Mirow stated that today he discussed with the Azerbaijani government country’s participation in the project of Nabucco gas pipeline construction and operation.
“If Azerbaijan offers an initiative on its participation in the project we are ready to back it and informed the government of that today. Nabucco is large and difficult project where it is necessary to take into account political risks to ensure its stability. In this connection EBRD is conducting consultations with many parties of the project,” he said.
Azerbaijan has stated repeatedly of political support of Nabucco Project.
