Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The International Road Transport Union’s (IRU) workgroup on South Caucasus corridor for cargo transportation to Afghanistan conducted its second session in Baku yesterday.

The Azerbaijan Ministry of Transport informs that at the session the Ministry and IRU signed Memorandum of Intentions on use of the corridor for motor carriages to Afghanistan.

Reports at the session were delivered by transport minister Ziya Mammadov of Azerbaijan and IRU secretary general Martin Marmi. The meeting was attended by representatives of the United States, Turkey, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, Moldova and other countries.
