Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The National Depository Centre of Azerbaijan informs that that country’s turnover of securities market in the first half of 2010 was formed by 64.2% due to additional issues of shares.

The NDC reported that in the 1st half of 2010 Azerbaijan concluded 3,054 deals with securities with overall face value of 229.97 million manats, including 679 deals for 465.1 million manats in June.

For the reported term basis of operations were transactions with additional issue of shares - 915 deals for 147.589 million manats, including 13 deals for 20.4 million in June. Turnover of 2,060 exchange deals totaled 71.976 million manats, including 25.495 million on 660 deals in June. It was also concluded 79 ex-pit transactions with overall volume of 10.405 million manats, including 6 deals for 593,992 manats in June.

As of 1 July, manat exchange rate was 0.8039 manats to the US dollar and in accord with it nominal value of securities turnover reached $286.07 million manats.

This turnover does not take into account operations with securities of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
