Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Workshop for commercial banks on the theme “Payment cards Visa. Merchant Acquiring” and II roundtable on development of cashless card circulation between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Visa, banks, commercial and public sector have been finished in Baku.

Following them CBA first deputy chairman Alim Guliyev said that today it was decided to prepare an action plan to foster cashless circulation as a working document.

"The plan will be drawn on two directions – improvement of legal framework and consumer education," Guliyev said.

In turn, Visa regional manager for CIS Alexander Kalita said that in the Visa’s future plans is segmenting of businesses and consumers on groups, repositioning of wages and debit cards to make them to serve not only for money withdraw but also development of new products and services.

"Students and youth are a promising customer segment," Kalita said.
