Baku, Fineko/abc.az. On the first day of summer Tamiz Shahar OJSC (Clean City) jointly with socio-ecological center "Ecosphere" invited children of Icherisheher and Gala reserve complex for festive environmental event for children, dated to coincide with the International Children’s Day – 1 June.

Tamiz Shahar reports that the event was conducted as a supplement of children’s educational outreach meetings within the framework of project "Segregation & separate collection of garbage in Icherisheher and Gala" conducted by Tamiz Shahar.

In the game interactive form the small residents of Icherisheher and Gala with the help of Ecosphere experts and the project volunteers were familiarized with the problems of environmental protection, recycling and waste management, segregation of household waste, conservation of natural resources.

On this day on the territory of Icherisheher and Gala reserve the child population had the opportunity to participate in fun promotions, contests and entertainment events.

The International Children’s Day has a flag. There are stylized figures (the red, yellow, blue, white and black ones) around the Earth sign on the green background of the flag, symbolizing growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. These human figures symbolize the diversity and tolerance. Sign of the Earth in the center of the flag is a symbol of our common home. On this day, we’d like with the support of our little helpers to remind once more to adults of the need to improve the environment – a home for all who live today and the future.

In connection with this day all the children who came to the feast were suggested to paint first by colors from the paint cans the white shirts in the colors of the flag by imprints of their palms, with a view of claim about the necessity of careful attitude towards the natural resources and "Ecology of House". Along with funny clowns they made from green and blue balls the figurines of people and gave them to passers-by, cut out of colored paper the garlands, explaining why adults need to separate garbage.

The group of active participants from Icherisheher went on a trip to the Gala, where they met with partners of the project - the children of Gala settlement. It was also held a volleyball match between the teams of Icherisheher and Gala. And the very young participants from Gala drew with crayons, fun on inflatable trampolines, and participated in the competition of bubbles.
