Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan State Committee on Property Affairs expects privatised enterprises to be invested up to $800 million in the nearest several years.

Committee’s Chairman Kerem Hasanov said for 14 years Azerbaijan privatised 42,000 small-sized enterprises and objects, around 1,600 mid- and large-sized institutions were turned into joint-stock companies.

“For that term, it was invested $447 million in privatised enterprises and $350 million more are expected to be invested within forthcoming years,” Hasanov said.

Nearly 500,000 people found job at the privatised enterprises.
