Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Collegiate Organ of the State Committee for Property Issues of Azerbaijan has held a session.

The State Committee informs that the meeting discussed the results of the SCPI’s activities in 2010 and tasks for 2011.

At the session Committee’s chairman Kerem Hasanov informed that the winners of the last year’s investment competitions for privatization the 10 joint stock companies undertook commitments to invest AZN 90 million in the privatized enterprises. At that, in 2010 the enterprises privatized through investment competitions have been already invested AZN 60 million.

"In the history of privatization by 1 January 2011 the privatized enterprises were invested AZN 540 million,” Hasanov said.

It enabled to create 13,000 new jobs.

"Last year government’s total revenues from privatization amounted to AZN 57 million,” Hasanov said.

It was privatized more than 750 state-governed enterprises and objects in 2010.
