EBRD is ready to endorse new frames of financing for non-bank institutions in transition countries
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) has started discussing a programme of new frames of financing for non-bank institutions from transition countries (ETC Non-Bank Framework III). The ETC are a group of countries with similar transition challenges for which EBRD has designed a specific program of intervention. The ETC are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. “Programme budget is USD 60 million and the EBRD Board of Director schedules its approval for September 23,” it was reported. The new programme will provide medium-term financing for nine new microfinance institutions and eight available participants, bringing total number of participants up to 24. The programme aims to develop microfinancing, technical assistance to I crease sustainability and efficiency of microfinance institutions. Related news
