Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Representatives of joint-stock company Polish factory for production of securities» (PWPW S.A.) held a meeting in the Azerbaijani Institute of Information Technologies.

The Institute informs that  visitors were interested in creation of system of biometric identification in Azerbaijan, resolving  of legal, organizational, scientifically-control and technical issues, as well as  work, carried out  towards manufacture and application of biometric identity cards.

“Within the framework of the  meeting participants noted significance of expansion of connections of scientific and technical cooperation between two countries, carrying out of exchange of experience with the research centers,” it was informed.

Since 2004, PWPW S.A. has worked over creation of biometric technologies for identification documents and can work out biometric modules on the basis of standards ISO/IEC 19794-5 (description of a face) and ISO/IEC 19794-2, 19794-4 (fingerprints).

Preparation of electronic identity cards in Azerbaijan is in the spotlight of foreign companies. The companies from Germany, South Korea, the USA and Ukraine have already offered their services in this sphere.
