This August Azerbaijan to get this year’s fifth new airliner
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The State Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan marks renewal of the air vessel fleet of the country. Administration’s director Arif Mammadov has stated that in 2012 alone CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and its subsidiary Silk Way Airlines received four new airliners. "The fifth new plane will be received in August. All these air vessels will be Boeing 747 or Boeing 767, and in 2014 Azerbaijan is going to be first on the post-Soviet area to receive Boeing 787," Mammadov said. He also emphasized that since 2008 the 48 out of the 70 operated aircrafts have been updated. Azerbaijans air fleet consists of 12 types of planes and helicopters. Related news
