Russia and China get access to Iran-downed U.S. spy drone
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Iran continues mocking the U.S. after a successful capture of a U.S. unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
According to the Iranian media, the Russian and Chinese experts applied to Iran with a request to allow them access to the drone. UAV Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel that flew over Iran to CIA order was landed thanks to Avtobaza (ground-based electronic intelligence system) received recently from Russia. The complex enabled not to shoot down the UAV but to take over management of it and land it in 225 km from the border with Afghanistan.
Iran has already put up its trophy for public display. Interception of the drone aircraft has become the largest defeat for the U.S. in Iran after the story when the commandos sent for rescuing the Americans held captive at the U.S. Embassy in 1979 failed to reach the goal.
