Azerbaijani oil shipping from Turkey’s Ceyhan drops in February

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced next statistic data on Azerbaijani oil export via main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev.

SOCAR informed that in February 2010, 2.5 million tons of Azerbaijani oil were shipped from Turkish port Ceyhan against 2.8 million tons in January 2010 an December 2009.

“In January and February 2010, shipping totaled 5.379 million tons,” it was informed.

Over 2009, export made up 36.3 million tons, and the last year’s best indicator was registered in May (3.5 million tons).

Since the very beginning of BTC pipe operation from mid-2006 to 1st March 2010 export from Ceyhan totaled 109.998 million tons of Azerbaijani oil.
